Parker Montessori Opens New Toddler Class!

Looking for day care or child care in Parker Colorado? Montessori School may be a great solution to your child’s needs. Do you have a child 18 months to 2.5 years old that you want to enroll for Montessori School? Parker Montessori Educational Institute is now taking applications for the new Toddler Class.I believe Montessori is a great alternative to standard day care. Children of different ages interact in a classroom setting with generally self directed activities.
Our son has been attending this school for almost three years and we have enjoyed watching him learn, grow and mature with his fellow students at Parker Montessori. He loves it there and we feel like he is receiving excellent instruction and care from the staff.

Colorado Ski Season is Here! Have fun with your KIDS!

I’m a huge fan of having fun with my kids so I wanted to try and get more families out of the house and onto the slopes this year. A ski trip is a lot more than just skiing. Check out the video above and you will see that we have loads of fun before and after skiing as well. This was an impromptu dance session after a dinner out in Breckenridge at Rasta Pasta. They liked the music so they decided to get up and work off a few calories.
Skii doesn’t need to be expensive either. If you don’t have a season pass (shame on you) then go to King Scoopers or one of the local ski shops and get hugely discounted tickets or go with a friend that has a PASS and they will get you great rates on a lift ticket.
A few other quick easy ways to save money skiing in Coloado:
- Car pool! This is the best way to save.
- King Scoopers or Ski shop for discounted tickets.
- Check online for discounted tickets.
- Take your lunch-This is huge and can save $50 for a family of four.
- Save time & money by renting your skis ahead of time in Denver or wherever you live on the Front Range.
- Go skiing with a buddy that has a season pass and they can get you a discount ticket.
- Save time by leaving the slopes at around 2:00. Less traffic on the way home.
- Lenny’s Ski and Golf on Arapahoe Road rents skis for the year for kids and adults.
- Sports Authority Rents skis for the year for kids and daily rentals for adults.
Do you decorate your house for Christmas if it’s listed for sale?

Every year we get the same calls from our sellers and they all want to know if they should decorate their homes for Christmas if the house is on the market.
- My standard answer is live like you normally would if the house was not on the market. (BUT KEEP IT CLEAN) If you decorate every year then decorate.
- I should emphasize that if you decorate like Clark Griswold then please tone it down.
- I have never in 11 years had a buyer complain about Christmas decorations in or on a house when showing homes during the Christmas Season.
- Realtors and buyers love walking in homes with fresh cooked sweets and the good smells of Christmas.
NOTE: If you have a North facing property or one with a sidewalk that takes days or weeks for the snow to melt off I highly recommend that you make sure the sidewalks and driveways are clean of any slippery spots.

I have a mountain bike I came across and wanted to try and get it to a kid here in the Parker area that may not have a bike. I think this is a girls moiuntain bike. Yep it is a Specialized too which means it isn’t a cheap bike. I will have the bike totally tuned up and cleaned and it should make a great Christmas present. Real Estate Miracle and it Happend the Day Before Thanksgiving.

Miracle? Yep I think so. Investment property miracle is what it really turned out to be. If it wasn’t a real estate miracle it was sure a great deal on a sweet little investment property. 57% of asking price is great in my eyes!
Last week I found a sweet little investment condo for a client of mine. This guy had his eye on a newer condo complex in Parker Colorado for over a year. Last year 1 & 2 bedroom properties were selling for between $90,000 and $110,000 in this complex. Just a little too much to cash flow so we kept watching the prices fall through the summer.
When I called him last week we ran over and looked at 6-8 of the available units and were searching for the best deal. Anyway we ended up finding a 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit without a garage that the bank had begun to make repairs on but had not finished. It came with all the appliances, AC and a nice main level patio which gave the unit double entry access. Perfect for a roomate situation if needed.
The bank was asking $95,000 which we knew was high in any market. He offered them $55,000 and they took the deal straight up. No counter no nothing. We were shocked to say the least. I’ve helped clients get great deals before and been amazed by some of them but this was an all time record.
“That was 57% of asking price!”
I’ll take two please!
