Fun Things To Do With Kids In Colorado

Here are a few fun photos from our Mother’s Day weekend trip to the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Taos, New Mexico. Everyone is looking for fun things to do with kids in Colorado so why not take a road trip to someplace fun.

I think the best weekend to head down to the Dunes will be May 18th and 19th or the first weekend of June. The creek was still too low when we went over Mother’s Day weekend but the kids still had fun. It was still a little too cold too.

For this trip our kids experienced wild horses roaming free in Colorado, elk and all the playing they could handle in the sand dunes and the Medano Creek that runs through the sand dunes. The hotel pool at night was also a favorite. I highly recommend this as a yearly family trip. Finding fun things to do with kids in Colorado isn’t a tough thing to do but some things are better at certain times of the year.
