Stonegate
Stonegate is one of Parker’s best neighborhoods for many reasons. Parker is a relatively newer area really only seeing major growth in the last 10 to 15 years. Stonegate real estate is one of the earliest planned neighborhoods for Parker that was started in the mid 1980′s and still not completed. There is a section on the north and south side of Lincoln Avenue.
In the right sidebar of this blog you can quickly search for homes that feed into all the Elementary Schools in Parker, Colorado. See search by School Zone.
Here you can see all the homes that feed into Pine Grove Elementary and Mammoth Heights Elementary. Both Mammoth Heights and Pine Grove are Douglas County Colorado Schools.
There are three major reasons buyers like Stonegate real estate.
1. Location and ease of access to all major roads. Stonegate is approximately 20 miles to downtown making for a pretty easy commute. Stonegate is 3 miles east of I-25 and less than one mile to the E-470 toll road.
2. Award winning schools right in the neighborhood. Pine Grove Elementary school is located in the middle of the south section of Stonegate which makes it very easy for kids and parents to walk to school. Pine Grove is rated as “Excellent” for it’s student achievement and teachers.
3. Amenities! Open space, bike paths, parks, pools and tennis. Stonegate has two large pool areas. On the north side Stonegate has what is referred to by the kids as the “bucket pool” which is a zero depth entry pool for kids and adults. On the south side is the swim team pool with an additional pool for diving and slides. There is also a kiddie pool on the south Stonegate pool area. Take your choice as they are both fun! Tennis courts are lighted and ready to play. Open space, parks and playgrounds are located throughout Stonegate for family fun and get togethers. My favorite is the bike path whcih runs throughout the neighborhood and connectes with the Chery Creek Bike Trail. You can ride from Stonegate to downtown on the bike path!

Pricing Your Home For Sale In A Rising Market
As of May 2013 the real estate market in Parker, Colorado and Douglas County is on fire. Prices are climbing and homes are selling but there is still confusion about pricing your home for sale in a rising market. The market is rising and the sellers have most of the bargaining power but I still see confusion and completely incorrect pricing on homes in many neighborhoods. When I say incorrect pricing I mean not priced high enough. Also read: Home Sellers Leaving Money On The... Continue Reading >
Home Sellers Leaving Money On The Table
I see this daily. Home sellers are leaving money on the table. I don't know if it's their Realtor that is giving them bad advice or the seller is under pricing their home but either way sellers are losing money.
This morning I was looking through the MLS for homes for a buyer client and I noticed two homes, one in the Stonegate Village Neighborhood and the other in The Pinery, that were both grossly under priced for the current market... Continue Reading >
Fun Things To Do With Kids In Colorado
Here are a few fun photos from our Mother's Day weekend trip to the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Taos, New Mexico. Everyone is looking for fun things to do with kids in Colorado so why not take a road trip to someplace fun.
I think the best weekend to head down to the Dunes will be May 18th and 19th or the first weekend of June. The creek was still too low when we went over Mother's Day weekend... Continue Reading >
Sedalia Colorado Homes Land and Horse Property
I believe most people have all dreamed of owning land in Colorado or a Colorado Ranch at come point. Well last week that dream came true for one of my clients. They purchased a beautiful 36 acre property with a large home in Sedalia Colorado. Yes it's a horse property but they are not particularly horse people. In fact, I doubt they will ever put horses on the property.
They, like many buyers looking for homes in Sedalia, Colorado were looking... Continue Reading >
