Stonegate

Stonegate is one of Parker’s best neighborhoods for many reasons. Parker is a relatively newer area really only seeing major growth in the last 10 to 15 years. Stonegate real estate is one of the earliest planned neighborhoods for Parker that was started in the mid 1980′s and still not completed. There is a section on the north and south side of Lincoln Avenue.

In the right sidebar of this blog you can quickly search for homes that feed into all the Elementary Schools in Parker, Colorado. See search by School Zone.

Here you can see all the homes that feed into Pine Grove Elementary and Mammoth Heights Elementary. Both Mammoth Heights and Pine Grove are Douglas County Colorado Schools.

There are three major reasons buyers like Stonegate real estate.

1. Location and ease of access to all major roads. Stonegate is approximately 20 miles to downtown making for a pretty easy commute. Stonegate is 3 miles east of I-25 and less than one mile to the E-470 toll road.

2. Award winning schools right in the neighborhood. Pine Grove Elementary school is located in the middle of the south section of Stonegate which makes it very easy for kids and parents to walk to school. Pine Grove is rated as “Excellent” for it’s student achievement and teachers.

3. Amenities! Open space, bike paths, parks, pools and tennis. Stonegate has two large pool areas. On the north side Stonegate has what is referred to by the kids as the “bucket pool” which is a zero depth entry pool for kids and adults. On the south side is the swim team pool with an additional pool for diving and slides. There is also a kiddie pool on the south Stonegate pool area. Take your choice as they are both fun! Tennis courts are lighted and ready to play. Open space, parks and playgrounds are located throughout Stonegate for family fun and get togethers. My favorite is the bike path whcih runs throughout the neighborhood and connectes with the Chery Creek Bike Trail. You can ride from Stonegate to downtown on the bike path!

Do You Need a Listing Plan When Selling Your Home?

Parker Colorado Homes for Sale | Parker Colorado Real Estate | Highlands Ranch You must have a listing plan when you sell your home. My seller pocketed an extra $9,000 by having a listing plan! In this crazy real estate market a well thought out listing plan that is executed properly can pay off big for a seller. Most people think that the market is good so anyone can sell a home quickly. Maybe you can but you will not get top dollar and you will not see multiple offers over asking price. Or, maybe you... Continue Reading >

Fun Day Hike Lookout Mountain Nature Preserve & Boettcher Mansion

Parker Colorado Homes for Sale | Parker Colorado Real Estate | Highlands Ranch I have wanted to check out the Lookout Mountain Nature Preserve for a couple of years now, so I finally made the time to do so with my sons last week.  The preserve is free and open to the public, offering some great views of the Denver metro valley.  It is roughly a 40-minute drive from Parker without traffic.  Take C-470 to westbound I-70, then take exit 256 for Lookout Mountain and follow the signs.  The road will wind around... Say Hello To My Little Friends in Stonegate

Parker Colorado Homes for Sale | Parker Colorado Real Estate | Highlands Ranch My first little friend is a mother-to-be hummingbird who has set up house in a tiny little nest in the aspen trees off my front porch.  My son named her Emerald or Emmy for short since she has some iridescent green feathers on her head.   I have never before seen a hummingbird at a standstill, let alone sitting in a nest, so I feel quite fortunate that Emmy has chosen our porch area in which to raise her family.  She can... Pradera Home Prices Up for 2014

Parker Colorado Homes for Sale | Parker Colorado Real Estate | Highlands Ranch The average Pradera home prices jumps 10.52%. It's no real surprise that the average sale price and average price per square foot is up in Pradera for the first half of 2014. The surprise to me at least is that the number of homes sold is down significantly from 2013. In 2013 there were 84 homes sold and closed for the entire year. By June 1st of 2014 there have only been 23 homes that have closed. I believe something major... Continue Reading >
