Water restrictions WASTE water more than just about any other hair-brained, controlling, bureaucratic scheme out there!

I finally took a course in Castle Rock so I could get out of water restrictions. Why? So that I could quit spending so freaking much on my water bill! Yes, I wanted to get off the water restrictions so that I could save water instead of wasting it like everyone else.

The key is EDUCATION (by the way, the stupid city course I took was a joke -- didn't teach me a single thing about watering to save money, all they wanted to do was push Xeriscaping and a very expensive water timer that requires no actual learning to use…oh yea, that and tell us that we can let our grass go dormant and turn brown before summer is over! No thanks.) Go talk to a horticulturist or plant nursery, or even check the Internet for simple information on saving water.

Grass, yes even Bluegrass, needs much less water than most people put on it. By watering, fertilizing, mowing, and aerating properly grass can be trained to use less water and have overall better health!

Government environmentalists do not want to give you the opportunity to learn these things. They just want to control your watering schedule. They want to flex their power, because after all we citizens are just second-rate peons.
